Celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights!
We are packing this 5-day celebration into one fun-filled event!
What is Diwali? Diwali is a major holiday throughout India, and many religions celebrate it. One way to observe this holiday is by lighting small oil lamps known as ‘diyas’ in honor of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and good fortune. The lamps symbolize the triumph of light over darkness and evil.
Let's celebrate Diwali with music, dance, crafts, and community!
We will have the following:
- Crafts!
- Supplies are available on a first come, first serve basis!
- Music
- Henna and Rangoli Art provided by the Vibha Youth Foundation
- Live performances
- Photo-wall
- Vendors
- Food
- Special Story Presentation in Hindi and Telugu
