Explore a slice of the contemporary Asian American experience through film and community storytelling.
‘Yellow Rose’ (2019) is a 94-minute long film that follows the country music aspirations of a young Filipina American from Houston as she navigates identity, belonging, and home.
After the screening, stick around for a brief discussion of the film’s themes and a Show & Tell. Bring a personal object — photo, memory, or story — and share its personal, familial, or social significance in a supportive community space. Participation is encouraged but not required.
