Survival in the wild is tough, and danger lurks at every turn. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone always had your back and looked out for you? Many animals work together to protect and warn each other of danger. Meerkats post a lookout, birds will screech before flight, rabbits thump their feet, and hoof stock scatter in all directions to protect themselves and others. Summer 2023 is all about working together and cooperation, so let’s learn from some unique animals about how they survive and help others.
Part of SMART Summer. Sponsored by the Friends of the Dallas Public Library.
