In this session of Art in the Style of, we’ll explore the fascinating world of M.C. Escher, known for his mind-bending illusions, impossible staircases, and intricate repeating patterns. Participants will learn how Escher used symmetry, geometry, and perspective to create designs that play tricks on the eye, then experiment with similar techniques to craft your own optical illusion art!

Please be aware that the Oak Lawn Branch restrooms will be closed for renovation from December 5 through February 5. Restrooms will not be available anywhere inside the branch during this time.

Leaving the building during a one-hour program may limit your ability to participate fully, as we are not able to pause or repeat program content.
