Event Details
The Art in the Style of... program is a monthly art history and hands-on workshop series that spotlights influential artists whose work resonates deeply within the Oak Lawn community. Each session provides participants with an opportunity to learn about a featured artist’s techniques, themes, and creative impact, followed by a guided art activity inspired by that artist’s style.
Step into the enchanting world of Claude Monet, a master of Impressionism whose work captures the fleeting beauty of light and nature. This month, we’ll explore Monet’s innovative techniques, his fascination with landscapes, and the profound influence of his art on the modern era.
After a brief dive into Monet’s life and creative impact, participants will create their own Impressionist-inspired masterpiece, experimenting with brushwork, color, and light in a guided art activity.
All materials are provided, and no prior art experience is necessary. This program is proudly sponsored by the Oak Lawn Library Friends.
