Program Description

Event Details

The Office of Community Care has received over $80 million from the federal CARES Act and American Rescue Plan Act to aid residents at risk of eviction, homelessness or housing instability and who have been financially impacted by COVID-19. We have partnered with many large non-profits across Dallas, including the Dallas Housing Authority and United Way, to get rent assistance funds to people in need quickly.

The purpose of this informational session is to share how to apply for rental assistance, who qualifies, and answer any questions or concerns tenants or landlords may have.

The Office of Community Care provides direction and oversight of the City’s social, human, and supportive services to help create equity for seniors, children, and other city of Dallas residents to improve their quality and standard of living

Registration is required. A Zoom account is not required. Zoom link will be sent prior to the program. The Dallas Public Library is happy to provide information and connect you with experts, but our staff cannot provide legal, medical or financial advice.

This program is available online only. If you need accommodations, please contact libraryprograms@dallascityhall.com.
