Event Details
Since 1790, the United States Coast Guard has protected our coasts from criminals and natural disasters, rescued sailors and maintained the flow of maritime commerce. Despite being a branch of the United States military, the Coast Guard is housed under the Department of Homeland Security which makes researching Coast Guard records different from other U.S. military records. Librarian Teri Huff will show how to locate Coast Guard service records to help you tell the story of your ancestors and their Coast Guard military service.
This Genealogy & History program is available both in-person at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, 8th floor AND online via Zoom. Register below for either option!
