It was the last copy of Exit West by Mohsin Hamid, two hands reached for the book, both grabbing it at the same time. They look up and their eyes meet...

Maybe we can't offer you a perfect meet-cute like this, but we can pair you up with a friend or two based on your reading interests. That's right- first there was Match.com then FarmersOnly.com, and now the library is getting in on the action with our very own Blind Date With a Book! Based on your reading interests, we'll pair you with others we think you will get along with. But it doesn't stop there! We will also recommend a good book to read for the matched participants to help start some conversation.

Is it love, friendship, or is it a new reading buddy? Let us match you up and find out!

How does it work?

Register and we will email you a short questionnaire about your book/reading preferences.

From there, we will match you with other registrants, based on your answers.

Once you have been paired up, a librarian will be in touch with you with a book recommendation for you and your matches to read and possibly discuss. Reading the book is not required, just something to help lead the conversation.

On Feb. 11, we will have a Zoom meeting for all registrants. Participants will be split into breakout rooms based on their questionnaire responses. Those in the breakout room can meet, discuss their reading interests and get to know each other.

This program is online only! Registration is required and will be held on Zoom. A Zoom account is not required to attend.
