Event Details

Spread the news and join in on the South Dallas Community History Harvest

You are invited to bring your personal artifacts to be digitized at the Martin Luther King Branch Library on Saturday, November 9th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Participants will also receive digital copies of their photos and documents, preserving these important artifacts for future generations to learn from.

 

In consideration of time, we ask that residents bring up to five artifacts each. Examples of items to bring include:

 

  • Family or school photos

  • Yearbooks

  • Menus from local restaurants

  • Property surveys or maps

  • Church programs

 

This project is funded in part through a Common Heritage grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
