In celebration of National AANHPI (Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander) Heritage Month, create a paper version of a Chinese shadow puppet and learn how shadow puppetry embodies Chinese folklore. Many believe shadow puppetry originated in China during the Han Dynasty, over 2000 years ago. It is the art of making the intricate and colorful shadow puppets move while combined with music, singing and storytelling.
