Chopsticks and Haikus

Celebrate AAPI Month at the library with games, creativity, and cultural discovery! Kids will play a fun, hands-on chopstick challenge game that helps them practice using chopsticks while building coordination and confidence. Then, we’ll slow things down and explore the art of haiku poetry, learning how this short and powerful form of writing captures moments from everyday life. Participants will write their own haikus to share or take home. This program blends play, language, and cultural appreciation in an engaging way that’s perfect for curious young minds.
