Create Papel Picado: A Traditional Mexican Folk Art

Learn how to create your own Papel Picado during this fun filled event, including how to fold and cut construction paper based on this traditional Mexican Folk Art.  Produce designs such as pop-up art, greeting cards, abstract pieces, banners and more. Make your own design as you create your own work of art.

City of Dallas, CAP Artist, Sal Barron, will not only show us how to create this art, he will tell us the history behind this fascinating and beautiful Mexican Folk Art.  This program will be in Spanish and English, and is for participants 6 years of age and older.

Mask wearing and social distancing is encouraged.
