Event Details
Create practical and comfortable sleeping mats for the unhoused in our community. Participants will be transforming ordinary plastic grocery bags into durable and weather-resistant mats that provide a small but significant comfort to those experiencing homelessness.
Attendees will learn the art of "plarn" (plastic yarn) creation and discover the simple yet effective technique of weaving these materials into sturdy, portable mats. This eco-friendly project not only repurposes plastic bags, contributing to a reduction in environmental waste, but also addresses a pressing social issue by providing a tangible solution for those in need.
Bring your own plastic bags.
