Then and Now: How Family History Has Changed Since 1955 - Dallas Genealogical Society
The Dallas Genealogical Society marks its 70th anniversary with “Then and Now: How Family History Has Changed Since 1955.” Guest speaker Sue Kaufman, Genealogy & Local History Librarian at the Peoria Public Library and former Manager of the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research, will trace the evolution of genealogy over the past seven decades. Centered on the themes of Society, Education, and Technology, the program highlights how DGS has supported researchers, embraced innovation, and fostered community while connecting people to their past.
Join Dallas Genealogical Society on the first Saturday of the month (Sep-May) to hear a free genealogy speaker and learn new ways to find YOUR family history. Hospitality is provided at 10:30 a.m. followed by a short business meeting at 11 a.m. followed shortly by the FREE educational presenter.
Can't make it in person? Join the meeting online through the DGS website.
