Event Details
"All the military records were burned in the fire."
"There isn't any birth, marriage or death information in federal records."
"There aren't any details about ordinary families at the National Archives."
These kinds of myth-statements stop genealogists from breaking down all kinds of brick walls using the wealth of information in National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) records. Judy Russell, The Legal Genealogist, will teach you how to join the mythbusters and uncover the treastures the National Archives holds for your family.
Join Dallas Genealogical Society on the first Saturday of the month (Sep-May) to hear a free genealogy speaker and learn new ways to find YOUR family history. Hospitality is provided at 10:30 a.m. followed by a short business meeting at 11 a.m. followed shortly by the FREE educational presenter.
Can't make it in person? Join the meeting online through the DGS website.
