Event Details

A nicho is a type of folk art popular through out Central and South America. With spiritual roots, A nicho is a 3D display box, like a shadow box with doors or windows. With spiritual roots, nichos are created as shrines for an important figure or loved one. Each nicho is unique, and can be quirky and lighthearted or more somber. 

In this art workshop, participants will make their own nicho to take home with them. You can bring a small object or picture to be the center of your nicho, but you can also choose from some templates or cut from a magazine. Our boxes will be 6x4x1".
