Earth Day Every Day: The Christmas Bird Count

This Christmas, do more than just buy gifts for your loved ones. Share in the experience of counting birds by joining nature lovers worldwide to contribute to citizen science efforts that help monitor bird populations. 

We are fortunate to learn from two experienced and local professionals from the Trinity River Audubon Center (TRAC). Marcus Cole is the Senior Coordinator of Environmental Education at TRAC, where he has served for nearly a decade. With a passion for connecting people to nature, Marcus leads programs that blend ecological education with community engagement. Jake Poinsett is the Education Manager at TRAC. In his role, he focuses on environmental education for all ages, habitat management and restoration, volunteer coordination, and community engagement.
