Learn some new aspects about your local park. “Sustainability in Parks” is sure to enlighten you with details about the City’s sustainability practices in maintenance and exciting programs.

Two experts on parks and sustainability will kick-off the 2026 season for Earth Day Every Day. 

  • Frances Ockles-McGee is a senior environmental coordinator for the City of Dallas, and she works with programs such as the Eco Warriors Committee.
  • Jonathan (Brett) Johnson is the Conservation Manager for the department and is an ISA Certified Arborist and Certified Wildlife Biologist through The Wildlife Society.

Join us online or in person and learn about park maintenance sustainability practices and projects such as the City’s Eco Warriors committee.
