Leaky faucets, toilets, sprinklers, and other fixtures can cause the average American home to waste up to 10,000 gallons of water every year. 

To reduce this amount, we are recognizing Fix a Leak Week, an annual program by the Environmental Protection Agency. We will be hearing from City of Dallas professionals who work day after day to help residents save water in and around their homes. This year, Fix A Leak Week is March 16-22, 2026.

We’ll be learning about outdoor systems from irrigation specialists William Bosland and Luis Rayo from the Water Conservation Division at Dallas Water Utilities. 

Attendees will also have a chance to learn about indoor plumbing from Senior Inspector Robert Revillas. These experienced professionals will also be sharing information about the free Water Conservation programs available to qualifying residents.
