The North Central Texas Council of Governments’ (NCTCOG) Environment and Development department helps local governments address environmental and development related issues through a variety of regional initiatives and programs. They also have many different community engagement programs, such as the Texas SmartScape and Time To Recycle programs, designed to educate and foster environmental stewardship within the region’s residents. Join this program to learn more about various programs and initiatives of the NCTCOG and ways that you can get involved!
Crysta Guzman is an Environmental and Development Planner for NCTCOG located in Arlington, Texas. She has been with the agency for three years. Crysta is a graduate of the University of North Texas and she is an avid gardener and environmental steward.

Earth Day Every Day is a series of online environmental education sessions continuing with the Earth Day theme and bringing expert speakers, special program topics, and a reminder that every day is Earth Day. Presented by Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability (DEQS; Green Dallas). These topics empower Dallas residents to make sustainable choices that improve the quality of life for everyone in Dallas and the world.
