When it comes to reducing how much waste we produce, one of the biggest challenges is addressing the heart of the home. Our kitchens often see a lot of discarded food, packaging, and cleaning items. The Zero Waste team has come to teach us some ways to reduce the trash we accumulate and strive towards our goals of becoming waste free. Join us as we honor Stop Food Waste Day, observed nationwide on April 26th.

Danielle McClelland is on the Zero Waste team for the Office of Environmental Quality and Sustainability. She helps steer the city of Dallas toward waste reduction, composting, and practicing more sustainable habits.

Earth Day Every Day is a series of online environmental education sessions continuing with the Earth Day theme and bringing expert speakers, special program topics, and a reminder that every day is Earth Day. Presented by Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability (DEQS; Green Dallas).  These topics empower Dallas residents to make sustainable choices that improve the quality of life for everyone in Dallas and the world.

This program is available online only, through Zoom. Registration is required. Zoom information will be emailed the day of the program. Emails may go to your spam folder.
