The lazy days of summer are here, and water is an important part of the activities. You’re swatting mosquitoes, maybe floating on the lake, but how does it all fit together? Learning about the water cycle and how Dallas manages stormwater can be an interesting topic. Stormwater, it’s our water!
August is also a time to mark World Mosquito Day on the 20th, and we have a great gift to help with your home mosquito problem. Learn about storm drains with the Enviroscape lesson and see what the library has to share about all of the buzzing and biting of these pesky bugs.
Earth Kids is a series of monthly in person programs with hands on activities with the Dallas Public Library and Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability. The program is aimed at kids 14 and under encouraging them to become environmentalists and learn different ways to take care of the planet.
