We live in the largest watershed contained within a single state. Why is that? Join us for this fun session about water to get acquainted with the Trinity River Basin and why it is important. We need to care about it and understand how it works. It’s our water! Millions of gallons of water flow in the watershed and some of it is below ground, too. Water is our most precious natural resource and without it, nothing on earth can sustain itself. Get a little messy with us in a team exercise about water filtering.
Earth Kids is a series of monthly in person programs with hands on activities with the Dallas Public Library and Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability. The program is aimed at kids 14 and under encouraging them to become environmentalists and learn different ways to take care of the planet.
