Program Description

Event Details

This program is a lightly rehearsed play reading done by professional actors who carry their scripts while performing for the audience. There is a Talk Back Discussion with the actors, director and producers after the final curtain call. This series takes the art to the people, it’s free to attend, and presented in a casual, welcoming atmosphere. Come and be a part of the Art! Echo Reads is intended for mature audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.

CHURCH  by Young Jean Lee

Young Jean Lee transforms her life-long struggle with Christianity into an exuberant church service that tests the expectations of religious and non-religious alike, blurring the line between the stage and the pulpit. Never content with simple parody, Lee aims to give herself and her audiences a true religious experience.
