Event Details
Are you ready to help our planet Earth? Every month we will have focus on an environmental cause through community service and a fun activity.
Please note that caregivers are required to stay with children at all times and supplies are on a first come first serve basis.
This program is made possible through the Lakewood Library Branch Friends group.
September 19th- Single-use craft supplies, we will be creating magazine bowls and we ask that participants bring any old crayons they are no longer using.
October 17th- Eco-Friendly Halloween, we are going to create our canvas Halloween candy totes and decorations. Additionally, we will have a sewing station to allow people to adjust/fix Halloween costumes and a rack for Halloween costume swaps.
November 14th- Food Waste, we are celebrating the season of being thankful by making a goal to waste less food! We will be decorating reusable lunch bags and hosting a food donation drive as well.
December 26th- New Year, New Eco-Friendly Goals, we will be making a vision board with personal goals to help make the earth a better place. For our activity, we will be putting together packages for others to do the same.
