Attention Cosplayers! Let your creativity and skills shine! Show us what you've got for FanCentral's Cosplay Contest, because what is a fan experience (even virtually) without a chance to show off some of your hard work and fab costumes! That's right, this virtual convention will be accepting submissions online through Instagram or email. 

Strut your stuff, virtually! 

Judging:

Your submission will be reviewed by special guest judges, Jacque Aye- creator Adorned by Chi comic series,  Dallas Geek Podcast duo- Brad and Mike, and viral TikToker and cosplay extraordinaire- Tenisha Billington. For entries to be judged, all entries must be valid and follow the guidelines listed below. Once the contest has ended, our judges will review all submissions and the winner will be announced. One winner will be selected for each of the three categories- Best Group, Best in Show, and Most In-Character (likeness).

Guideline:

  • Submissions open from June 25 to July 11 at 8 p.m. CT.
  • Submitting via Instagram
    • Valid submissions will have the hashtag #FanCentral20 and tag @Dallaspubliclibrary!
    • In the description put your name, age, the character you are cosplaying, and what category you're submitting to. 
  • Submitting via email
    • Email submissions to Humanities@Dallascityhall.com
      • In the email, put your name, age, character information, and what category you're submitting to.
  • Entries must be family-friendly 

 

Deadline:

To be considered for the contest, all entries must be posted/submitted by Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 8 p.m. CT.

 

Winner Announced:

We will select and announce the winning Cosplay Creator on July 13, 2020!
