Get ready to bring the stadium to the library! In this hands-on workshop, young inventors will transform everyday materials—like cardboard boxes, popsicle sticks, and straws—into their very own tabletop foosball game. By stepping into the shoes of an engineer, participants will navigate the Engineering Design Process to turn a pile of supplies into a functional, playable masterpiece. Whether they are drafting their team or troubleshooting a stuck goalie, kids will see firsthand how creative thinking leads to awesome results. Part of SMART Summer sponsored by the Friends of the Dallas Public Library.

¡Prepárense para llevar el estadio a la biblioteca! En este taller práctico, los jóvenes inventores transformarán materiales cotidianos —como cajas de cartón, palitos de helado y pajitas— en su propio futbolín de mesa. Al ponerse en la piel de un ingeniero, los participantes recorrerán el Proceso de Diseño de Ingeniería para convertir un montón de materiales en una obra maestra funcional y lista para jugar. Ya sea diseñando a su equipo o solucionando el problema de un portero atascado, los niños verán de primera mano cómo el pensamiento creativo conduce a resultados increíbles.
