Lacking many formal records about her family, Genealogy Librarian Kat started learning about her ancestors by studying the culture and customs of the places they came from -- like the foods they ate, the plants they used, and what clothes they wore. In this presentation, Kat will share information on what she learned about her great great grandmother and the clothes she might have worn while working in 20th century cotton fields in Texas. Learn about what life in Texas might have been like in the mid-20th century for your female ancestor, and how you can use your ancestor's social history to better connect with your family's past.

This program is available both in-person at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, 8th floor AND online via Zoom. Register below for either option.
