Which is your preferred learning style: seeing, listening, reading, or doing? In this engaging presentation, Bernard Meisner explores the wide range of free and low-cost video resources available to those researching their German ancestors. Designed for beginning, intermediate, and advanced researchers alike, the session highlights trusted sources and practical tools to help you make the most of video-based learning. Participants will also gain valuable tips for using videos effectively to strengthen their German genealogy research skills.
The focus of the German Genealogy Group is researching migrants who immigrated from German-speaking areas of Europe to various parts of the US from the 1700s to the 1900s. Knowledge of the German language is not required - the goal is to help guide your research and provide resources for translating the records. The group is a special interest group of the Dallas Genealogical Society and is freely open to all.
