Program Description

Event Details

Join Sari, the mindful teacher originally from Japan, in expressing the beauty of the season as a haiku poem. You will learn the concept and structure of haiku poetry, write a haiku, and create a bookmark with your writing and matching image. 

You will need to supply:

  • Heavyweight card stock or manila folder cut into a 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" piece
  • Black ballpoint pen
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Haiku Worksheet (download here; Kids version is available here)
  • Spring Nature Pictures (download here)
  • Raffia ribbon or yarn 4" long, (optional)
  • Coloring materials, (optional)
