Event Details

To commemorate Juneteenth National Independence Day, the Forest Green Branch Library is hosting an art contest to show off the talent among students in our community.

The contest is open to kids and teens ages 6 through 18. Submissions can be any form of physical art and should follow the theme: What does Juneteenth and Black History mean to you?

The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 31 at 5 p.m. All submissions should be brought to the Forest Green Branch Library, located at 9619 Greenville Ave. Label your submission with the artist's name, age, school, phone number and email.

Submissions will be displayed in the library for public voting from June 4 to June 15. Contest winners will be announced at the library's Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 15. All those who submit are encouraged to attend this event.
