Event Details

Think your junk is just junk? Think again. Discover how it’s storytelling gold waiting to happen at our Junk Journaling Workshop on Friday the 13th! We’ll blend scrapbooking, upcycling, and raw self-expression to help you create journals as messy, meaningful, and marvelous as you are.

A treasure trove of supplies awaits, along with guidance on some of the basics including glue books, creative prompts to spark your muse, shadow work symbolism, quick 1-minute journal bursts to keep your focus sharp (ADHD-friendly!), and ways to collect and create with the ordinary things around you.

Since it’s December and Friday the 13th, we’ll also dive into beginner-friendly tarot card reading tips to inspire setting powerful intentions for the new year while reflecting on everything you’ve experienced this past year.

Register today! Spots are limited.

Restroom Access Notice (12/5–2/5)

Please be aware that the Oak Lawn Branch restrooms will be closed for renovation from December 5 through February 5. Restrooms will not be available anywhere inside the branch during this time.
If you need to use a restroom, you will need to leave the library to find one elsewhere. Nearby businesses may restrict restroom use to customers only, so we strongly recommend using a restroom before you arrive for any program or event.
Leaving the building during a one-hour program may limit your ability to participate fully, as we are not able to pause or repeat program content. If you do not feel comfortable attending without a restroom available on-site for the full duration, please consider refraining from registering so that others who are able to participate under these conditions may have the opportunity to attend.
We appreciate your understanding as we complete these necessary improvements.
