Little Learners: Beautiful Shades of Brown Storytime and Craft

Growing up, Laura Wheeler Waring didn’t see the faces of people in her community on museum walls. So she decided to paint them. Now her paintings are on the walls of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. Author Nancy Churnin will read her award-winning book, Beautiful Shades of Brown, the Art of Laura Wheeler Waring, and guide a craft that encourages kids to see and share the beautiful shades in themselves and their communities.  

Little Learners events will be limited to the first 30 children and their caregiver to ensure the best experience possible, with the exception of yoga sessions.
