Lunch and Learn: Adult Speaker Series

Welcome to our Lunch and Learn series where we will invite local experts to discuss topics of interest from history to philosophy to science and more. This month will feature Richard Bailey, a Dallas-based filmmaker and distribution consultant. Richard works as a distribution consultant for BloodSweatHoney, a producer's rep company based in Los Angeles. His movies A Ship of Human Skin (2020), King Judith (2023), and The Dark Sisters (2024) have appeared at various festivals and are available in wide release on popular streaming platforms. His work has shown at Alchemy Moving Image, Anthology Film Archives, AVIFF Cannes, Berlin Revolution, Black Maria, Dallas VideoFest, Proyector International, SENE, SXSW, and many others.  

Now that the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Fund has been approved, Dallas will likely see more movie and television production throughout the city. Richard will speak to us about various processes in motion picture production, and how this new fund could lead to movies and series originating right here in Dallas.
