Program Description

Event Details

Fire was prescribed like medicine by indigenous people to maintain fire dependent ecosystems, optimize habitat, and promote biodiversity. This presentation, from Master Naturalist Meghan Peoples, reviews ancient practices to discover how human use of fire shaped the American landscape and explores its modern utility to prevent disaster and enhance environmental well-being.

"Master Naturalists Present..." is a monthly series featuring presentations from local nature experts of the nonprofit North Texas Master Naturalists.

This program is available online only, through Zoom. Registration is required. Zoom information will be emailed the day of the program. Emails may go to your spam folder.
