Join Master Naturalist Ben on July 15th at 1 PM for an enlightening lecture on the remarkable Big Spring Preserve in Dallas's Great Trinity Forest. This captivating presentation will delve into the ecological significance and natural wonders of one of Texas's largest urban hardwood forests. Discover the lush beauty of this expansive preserve, home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including towering trees, vibrant wildflowers, and numerous species of wildlife.

"Master Naturalists Present" is a monthly series featuring presentations from local nature experts of the nonprofit North Texas Master Naturalists.

Ben Sandifer is an author, photographer, and environmental advocate for parks and open spaces where he can often be found with camera in hand. His award-winning nature photographs have been featured in local, state, and national publications. He is a Certified Master Birder through the Audubon Dallas sponsored North Central Texas Master Birder Program. For his volunteer efforts, he was named the 2015 DFW Sustainable Leadership Volunteer of the Year, nominated for the 2016 Texan of the Year by the Dallas Morning News and was awarded 2019 Texas Citizen Scientist of the Year by Texas by Meadows Center for Water and the Environment.
