Event Details
Interactive vision discussion and art activity promoting dreaming, attaining personal and career aspirations, goal setting, vision boarding, visual art, reading and utilization of public libraries. This two-part activity is fun and highly interactive designed to bring to intergenerational concepts about young people and the future of the community.
Each attendee will participate in vision writing and drawing activity selected from the book On My Own: A Vision Board Guidebook for Young People by Patrick M. Oliver. Some will be asked to share their writings and drawings. Afterwards the participants will be put in groups of five to take their collective thoughts and ideas from the writing and drawing activity to create vision boards. Each group will share their vision board content. The completed vision boards will be displayed at the walls of the library for the community to view.
