Program Description

Event Details

The Blackland Prairie, our local ecosystem, amazed the first Europeans to arrive in the region with its breathtaking display of  beautiful native flowers. Join us for a tour through the seasons of some of the region's last remaining acres of high quality Blackland Prairie, and the blooming plants inhabiting those prairie spaces.

Carol Clark is a member of the Texas Master Naturalist Blackland Prairie Chapter, a long-time member of the Native Plant Society of Texas, Chair of the Bring Back the Monarchs to Texas committee of NPSOT, and a Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist.  She is a frequent speaker on conservation topics around the state.

This program is available online only, through Zoom. Registration is required. Zoom information will be emailed the day of the program. Emails may go to your spam folder.

This program was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Dallas Public Library. Be sure to check out the full line-up of events for today's Nature Expo here!: The P.O.N.D. Nature Expo 2021
