Program Description

Event Details

Dallas/Fort Worth is an urban ecosystem! We share the metroplex with so many different animals. Learn a little bit about our natural neighbors with show-and-tell of animal skulls and pelts from local wildlife expert Sam Kieschnick. Sam will also guide you in some ways to help them survive and minimize any conflict.

Sam is an urban wildlife biologist with Texas Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (TPWD). He previously worked as a nature educator with the City of Mansfield at Oliver Nature Park, as a naturalist at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, as a science interpreter with the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, and as a botanist with the Botanical Research Institute of Texas.

This program is available online only, through Zoom. Registration is required. Zoom information will be emailed the day of the program. Emails may go to your spam folder.

The "Master Naturalists Present" series programs feature local nature experts of the nonprofit  North Texas Master Naturalists.

This program was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Dallas Public Library. Be sure to check out the full line-up of events for today's Nature Expo here!: The P.O.N.D. Nature Expo 2021
