Welcome to the Oak Lawn Cinema Club! On every second Saturday of the month, we will be showing a full-length feature film in the Oak Lawn auditorium. 

This month's feature film will be the Academy Award-winning drama, Moonlight. The film takes place at three different points in the life of the main character Chiron as he grows up, and also focuses on his struggles with his sexuality and identity in addition to the abuse he survives throughout his life. The film stars Trevante Rhodes, Andre Holland, Janelle Monae, Ashton Sanders, Jharrel Jerome, Naomie Harris, and Mahershala Ali. 

Moonlight won the Academy Award for Best Picture (beating La La Land in a memorable Oscar mix-up), Mahershala Ali won the award for Best Supporting Actor, and the film's writers also won for Best Adapted Screenplay.
