Are you new to poetry, as a reader or a writer? Discover the art of poetry and the poet within you. Tiffany Sunday will share different styles of poetry and discuss how poems have the power to transform our lives. During the second part of the workshop, she will offer inspiration for new poets and guidance on how to start writing poetry.

About the presenter:

Tiffany Sunday is a poet and author of six books. Her books have reached readers in over eight countries in both Europe and Asia. She is internationally known for her 2015 TEDx Talk Dyslexia 2.0: The Gift of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Mind and frequently quoted passage from Dyslexia’s Competitive Edge.

Her poetry collections include To Be Human – Always, Proper Grey Areas, and Insatiable Consumption of Being.

Tiffany’s poetry mirrors her renaissance personality. Her collections parallel many categories as readers navigate emotionally charged themes of love, grief, abuse, inequality, impacts of technology, and the importance of being.

In fourth grade, she started writing poetry and attributes her early influences to her mother, who taught high school Honors English and Literature, Emily Dickinson, and songwriter Stevie Nicks. For more information, visit www.tiffanysunday.com.
