The Dallas Mexican American Historical League (DMAHL) in partnership with the Dallas History & Archives Division of the Dallas Public Library invite you to an event of remembrance of Santos Rodriguez, a 12 year old boy whose murder by a Dallas Police officer on July 24, 1973 ignited the city in protest and galvanized the Mexican-American Community.

The City of Dallas Poet Laureate Joaquin Zihuatanejo will recite an original poem written for the 50th anniversary of this tragedy, followed by a panel discussion of the July 28, 1973 "March of Justice for Santos Rodriguez" and contemporary protests and political activism today.
