Program Description

Event Details

Did you know that women have been involved in space science at least since the 1700s? That women were "human computers" completing mathematical computations for rockets traveling into space? Not only have women become astronauts traveling in space, commanding the Space Shuttle, and living in space on the International Space Station, but now women astronauts are aspiring to go to Mars! Learn more about these amazing women and conduct your own STEM Mars project. You will learn how volcanos build up land mass on planets such as Mars. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Dallas Public Library.
