In 2022, the City Council approved purchasing this (2929 S Hampton Rd.) 12-acre property using 2017 Homeless Proposition J Bond Funds, with the initial purpose of providing permanent supportive housing.

During a recent briefing, three options were presented for the site's future use. However, your input is invaluable in determining the best use that enhances our quality of life. As a result, Councilperson Zarin Gracey will be hosting a series of listening sessions to gather your feedback.

Tuesday, April 30 at 1 p.m. there will be a meeting for seniors and their unique perspectives in the Black Box Theater of the Hampton-Illinois Branch Library, 2951 S Hampton Rd.
