Event Details
Children and adults with autism, also known as autism spectrum disorder, have problems with communication and social skills. Speech-language pathologists, or SLPs, who administer speech therapy can help. Speech Therapy plays an important role in your child’s treatment. This workshop will focus on why it is essential for SLPs to work with your child on social skills and communication. These are the areas where your child will have the most trouble.
An SLP may work with your child at home, in school, or in an office. Or, your child might work with the SLP alone or in small groups. This workshop will help you better understand the role of speech and how to make sure your child gets what they need.
