Event Details

Imagine that you are an alien from the planet Lotarf. This is your first visit to Earth. What do you do the first day? What do you see or experience that seems unusual to you?

Elementary school students who live in Oak Cliff or attend an Oak Cliff school are invited to answer this question in our Spring Essay Contest, sponsored by the Friends of the North Oak Cliff Library. Pick up an entry form at the library or download one using the link on the right-hand side of the page. Entries are accepted (and forms are available) in either English or Spanish.

Entries must be turned in by 6:00 p.m. on Monday May 17. The winners will be recognized and prizes will be awarded at a ceremony on Saturday June 1.
