Get ready to pull back the curtain on the invisible forces of the universe! In this hands-on workshop, young engineers will dive into the fascinating world of electromagnetism to build their very own simple motor from scratch. Using just an AA battery, copper wire, and powerful neodymium magnets, participants will witness a scientific phenomenon in real-time. By channeling an electric current through the wire, they’ll create a magnetic field that dances with the magnets’ field, generating the force needed to make their creations spin. Part of SMART Summer sponsored by the Friends of the Dallas Public Library.
