Dia de los Muertos, also known as The Day of the Dead, is a festive holiday for families to pay tribute to los Muertos. The Day of the Dead is a time of remembrance for loved ones who have passed on. Originally an Aztec ritual, it is now a part of Mexican Heritage that takes place between November 1 and 2. People decorate their loved one's graves or an ofrendas (alter) with Sugar Skulls intricately decorated in fun and festive colors. Decorate a mini pumpkin to look like a sugar skull.
