Meet the Native Cats of Texas!

Many people are unaware of the great diversity of our native felines, their habitat, physical characteristics, threats they face, and the importance they play in maintaining Nature’s health and diversity. 

The Lakewood Library is partnering with Texas Native Cats to present an educational class about the five species of  wild felines that are native to the State of Texas, their history, characteristics, habitat, importance and future.

Texas Native Cats is a non-profit organization that gives these silent animals a voice.
