A Texas native, Jan Hart Black was inspired by the majestic, powerful, mystifying aspects of its elements. Her current work expresses in oil her senses’ memories of their touch. The feel of wind on skin. A still hot day. Dust storms. The clash of the creative and destructive. She captures these in oil abstractions and invite the viewer to share them with her.
